We work to define the highest standards for responsible investment and to drive change until these standards are adopted worldwide.
 

Our history

ShareAction started life as a campaign that worked with People & Planet, where we helped Britain’s largest pension scheme adopt a responsible investment policy. Since then, we have expanded to campaign on the most pressing issues facing the world today. We’ve driven change at the heart of the financial system, shaped public policy and built a diverse movement of savers and investors for responsible investment. Our History

Join the team

Are you passionate about the power of the investment system in driving positive social change? Then why not join us! We welcome applications from anyone who shares our enthusiasm for responsible investment, and who supports our core values of independence, courage, persistence, respect and inclusivity. The Responsible Lobbying Framework

ShareAction is a signatory to the Responsible Lobbying Framework, a best practice guide for lobbying activity by civil society and corporate organisations. Our Responsible Lobbying report outlines key activities we have undertaken engaging with policymakers in the UK and EU.
 

How we are funded

ShareAction is a registered charity and, like all non-profits, we rely heavily on generous support from our philanthropic funders. The majority of our funding is derived from charitable grants gifted by trusts and foundations. In addition to this, our network membership fees also contribute to much needed financial support.
