With London Climate Action Week not long concluded, what are the key themes that emerged from the speeches and conversations in the conference venues, auditoriums and meeting rooms throughout the week?
As GRI’s Climate Lead Margherita Barbieri sets out in an article on Medium, an important change in the debate has taken place. Long-term goals for climate change mitigation, while important, are no longer the sole focus.
Increasingly, attention is on the demonstratable real-world actions and impacts needed to deliver progress – particularly through climate adaptation and transition – while credible corporate reporting has a key role to play:

On the road to COP31 in Türkiye, high-quality reporting that addresses the impacts of organizations, as articulated through the GRI 102 Climate Change Standard, will help governments, investors, financial institutions and companies themselves to move the needle from pledges to progress.
