The 8th edition of the annual Africa pension funds and alternative investments conference, PIAFRICA is set to take place on 8th and 9th April 2025, at the Intercontinental Hotel & Resort, Mauritius. This unique unrivalled event brings together key decision makers from the African pension funds, regulatory agencies, alternative investment managers, development financial institutions and other industry leaders and stakeholders interested in collaborating and working with the African pension funds to achieve maximum impact and sustainable economic growth.
With the global macro-economic uncertainty, heightened geopolitical tensions, demand and supply out of balance, inflation moving slowly downwards and interest rates peaking globally, Africa’s economies have shown resilience with projected economic growth of 4% for 2025. Considering the developmental needs of the continent PIAFRICA 2025 is designed to provide an inclusive platform to facilitate knowledge exchange between alternative investment managers and the various pension funds and asset owners.
Program and thematic focus amongst others include:

The 2025 edition will feature a pre-event one day masterclass training on “Understanding Alternative Investments” aimed at various members of pension funds, asset owners, and trustees to advance their technical capabilities and equip them with the necessary skills and know how ensuring a better understanding of how to use alternatives in portfolio allocations, insights on the different purposes of alternatives and ways to identify anticipated outcomes.
PIAFRICA 2025 is set to be a pivotal event to shape and influence the convergence of pension funds strategies that will have an impact on accelerating economic development across the continent, the event provides access to a unique platform to gain knowledge and create meaningful business connections.
